Which one would you pick from the above? Taking everything into consideration.. It would be your only car, but you don't need to drive to work.. It would be used for everything else.

Running costs, useable, price, looks.. etc.

I've sold the Gallardo!

Also owned a T350 last year.. But always been keen to get a Sagaris, yet the GT-R is hard to ignore.

Close on the poll aswell!

If you are only using the car for fun then the Sag.
It would be my only car, so mainly fun, but also other things like nipping into town.. Picking the wife up etc..

I showed your poll to my Mrs, she immediately said the Sag. She's always right (so she tells me!) and therefore you should buy a Sag smile
I asked my misses and she said 'DONT YOU DARE BUY ANOTHER CAR WHEN WE'RE SAVING FOR A WEDDING'

Can't wait to see her face when I roar up in the new steed!

To the OP: you've obviously got the TVR bug niggling away. How about you get the Sag run it for a year or two and then simply sell it on and then buy a GTR.
The GTR probably is the easier car to live with, but enjoy the Sag whilst they're still around and servicing/parts is still feasible.

I'm not saying you won't be able to get TVR parts in the near future, just that eventually they will dry up.
Very good idea!

Thanks for the replies. Must admit the Corvette and R34 don't do much for me

Ignoring the usual idiot claptrap, they are both entirely different propositions.

I wouldn't have a GT-R just as a weekend toy (because I think that is missing the point) and I certainly wouldn't have a Sagaris if I actually needed a car to go anywhere in.
Its not going to be a weekend car, it will be getting used everyday, but I don't need to drive to work. The wife has a Fiat Punto which I can use for skip runs/IKEA etc

Nish - Interesting. That was the main reason for getting rid of the Gallardo. The other option would be buy a T350 again, and have a cheap hack. But I know I'd kick myself if I seen a Sagaris drive by..

Is it really that un useable?

Thanks all. I've pretty much decided on the Sagaris, just need to wait till the perfect one comes up (hopefully within a couple of months)

I know I'll be getting back into the 2 seater 'unpractical' car, but I'm sure the positives will outweigh the negatives biggrin

Seems quite a popular topic! I think the head said GTR and heart says Sagaris for me now.

I'm going to have a drive in a GTR when I'm back on dry land and see if I like it.

Must admit, after getting used to the auto RRS, I found driving the manual box in my GF's punto a total pain in the ass..

A manual in a gutless car is no better than an auto in a gutless car though. Can't compare a manual Punto with an auto RRS to choose preference on gearbox biggrin

Add lots of power and auto and manual are not so bad, but it must be said auto gets lots better with more power smile

Dave
Aye good point! I hope it isn't me getting lazy and liking Auto's!

if you can afford either you can afford a second snotter car. small corsa clio or what not thats fine for snow rain car park dings etc.

so tvr all the way
yes
Except the OP asked if you had to choose one as your ONLY car....
Exactly. I don't want or need two cars. Buying a car for £500 is all fine and well, but I don't do the mileage to justify two insurances, two amounts of running costs etc.
