Not to me personally. Audi one is okay, Golf just looks a mess.

Street Rods look ace though. cool

Edit - just noticed the granade gearleaver in Audi. Genius

The granade gearleaver is an awesome touch in my opinion....

the looks you must get driving those cars would be class

what I dont get is how these things pass the MOT with rust like that? Also you must have to do something to stop the rust going all the way through
I believe they pain the outside in oil which stops it rusting..

i may stand corrected thats just what i heard from a mate tho...

I like the look if done properly, if I get another car for daily use I'm tempted to get a few mates over and go to work on my kia, its worth nothing anyway so no great loss if it goes tits up.

I think if you do it you know its all about the fun of it and don't expect to be taken seriously, given a choice I'd take one of those over a barried car anyday.
I think u've hit the nail on the head there.. its all about the fun of it..

Ive got an old escort on my drive way which is tempting to have a go at.. my wife doesnt really like the idea... she still thinks a 98 escort is worth ££££

You can buy them from this site. Nearly bought one a while back but was worrid about the wieght of it and whether it would put stess on the linkage etc.

As to the the 'Rat look' IMHO the Audi and the Golf are pretender crap and have been made to look that way which is obvious and trying toooo hard. The van is a class act and and has earned it's colours . A proper Rat doesn't need to 'Try' it is just 'Rat' if that makes sense. biggrin

As to the Rat Look.....LUV ITsmokin

I have seen a rat look E28 (I think) 5 series with a black bonnet and roof rack, that had a certain charm.
You have indeed. Though "Rusty" is now dead! Running that low for that long killed the shell.

Before

After

even came with a super cool trailer

Full details at http://www.stanceworks.com/?p=5

The last look was of a old USAF fighter. Which was my personal fav.

http://vimeo.com/9245342 for the video epilogue.

As for the Audi and Golf. The Audi works as it's not 100% st. The Gold just looks 100% st. But it could be saved if they fitted some super bling BBS Rs wheels polished to death.
That is AWESOME...... Well impressed
