Best 911 investment at £20-30K??

I've been mulling over a 996 manual turbo of late as a car to enjoy rather than as an investment, but you were going to spend £20-30K (no way I could justify more!), which 911 would you invest in and why? I assume I'm too late price wise for a 993 :-(

I have room for one car in the garage! I'm wondering if the 996 turbo might go the way of the 993 in a few years if I've left it too late to afford a 993. And I guess it's too soon for the 997 as there is more depreciation to come?

Is it too late for the 993 in that bracket? Presumably always best to try and get a manual and a turbo?

Is there a general feeling that the 996 (even turbo?) isn't likely to have a longterm upside?
