Hi

I noticed a few old posts on the relating to behind bumper sensors but wondered if any one had any further experience with what my dealer calls the Airbag spring setup behind the steering wheel. Im sorry I would love to know what the part is and also the part no and if its common on all 993's or just Turbo specific.

For context of any advice any member may offer

I have previously had and a now again have an intermittent fault with the Airbag warning light. I have had the computer reset and error codes checked I am presuming that this possible based on my conversations with the dealer?? I have been told at the last few services there was nothing wrong and other than having a flat battery and it replaced we have had no issues but this fault has returned 500 kms after my last service.

Historically a few years back the car had what I thought was a new behind bumper sensor and similar circumstances but recently now have the fault return although there are no error codes Im told and only the red exclamation mark and airbag fault is visible.

I can of course source the parts which are not currently held in stock by porsche in my country but it seems like an expensive game of trial and error as I am also told if they if they are opened and fitted even for a test they are not returnable..

Many thanks in advance for any advice

Thank you

I believe the part is 996 652 211 01

Which is actually 500 GBP pounds here and looks like a lot cheaper overseas, maybe the OPC is the best route
