Hi

New to C4S ownership and having owned TVRs in the past I'm looking to up the volume of the flat 6 sound track by fitting a pair of rear silencer box bypass pipes. Fabspeed have some in the US at $300 + $120 shipping and +20% import duty.

Does anyone know of any off the shelf options available to purchase in the UK or if I could get the tubes custom made in the UK for less? Not exactly a complicated design...

Thanks

Cerbie

Have a look Hayward and Scott website, I haven't checked but I had one on my GT3
Thanks for the prompt reply, nothing on their site but I sent them an email. Just seems bonkers for fork out £300 for two 1ft bent pipes.

I get the Marmite comment and maybe they will be too loud but worth a shot - easy swap if they end up being OTT.

I have been checking fleabay for a while now, the C2/4 ones are easy to get hold of but nothing for the C4S - maybe they are just too simple to make it worthwhile making.

Had one quote of £200 plus P&P plus VAT to get them custom made here, seems steep when the version for the C2/4 is off the shelf for £150 inc VAT with free shipping and includes new tail pipes!

Damn... loads must of fallen off mine then when Hayward and Scott did it... smile

Amazing sound though with a 1.5in pipe...
Think I'm going to bite the bullet and order the Fabspeed. The silencers are Milltek so it would be a shame to hack them about to weld in the bypass.

Will post a video of the car before and after the mod.

Why don't you just try disconnecting or removing your silencers then firing the engine up? You'll immediately realise why you won't want the Fabspeed bypass pipes (you'd be embarrassed to drive the car, trust me. Yes they do sound that cr*p) and you won't have wasted a shilling.
Good suggestion, thx.
