I've been running Trofeo R's on my 996 GT3 for a couple of years now, though have also tried Yokohama AD08R's last year.

Chris Harris has done a bit of an infomercial on the Pirelli on a 991 GT3 round Portamao. Certainly seems quicker than the Cup 2..

He does.

Nxi (Nick) also does a lot. He has already posted data on durability of Cup2's

They were available pretty much the whole of last track season in 996 and 997 GT3 sizes.

General consensus is that they are far superior in the wet to pretty much any other track-based tyre, very quiet (which is very strange), very durable (last at the very minimum twice as long as original Cups), readily available, and cheap. But, do not manage heat as well, go off quicker, and are slightly slower.

£560 delivered for a set of Cups for a 996 GT3 is quite compelling! On Tyreleader.

I always give my local tyre dealer an opportunity to quote me and if they can't get near to the likes of Tyreleader, I ask them if they would have any objection to fitting them. The answer is always, "not a problem".
Same here. Always bung the lads a decent tip as well so they look after my wheels.

Cup 1's ? Absolute bargain and a superb tyre. Just watch out for the date stamps, tyreleader are good at stating the Date for each price which is really fair i think. I would not worry too much if they were a bit older either really.

Are Michelin actually still making the Cup 1? If not i may get a set for 'ron
Where do they state the date? I must be blind. I can't find it on their website. Can you point out where, please?

Not sure if they are still in production or not. But thy price is crazy cheap.
