997 alternator cable

i read somewhere that there is a common problem with the cable from the alternator to the battery. can anyone expand on this. having fitted a new battery, i'm wondering if there could be other issues.

thanks very much for that. she's going into a porsche indi shortly so hopefully they will solve it. Oh...and no, £72 from my local auto electrics guy!
