Hi Guys,

Well the car looks promising, does anyone have any info? Waiting for the dealer to call back so I'm guessing it's the usual SOR tightrope sketch....

Something is not right, my business partner has called and they won't call him back. As others have said it has iron discs (not a problem but why state ceramics), and it has leather seats (again not a problem but they must have been retro fitted or specced when new).

Sadly it smacks of a bit of a turd when dealers fk things up like this - especially given their rep. Time to walk away me thinks....

When I bought my GT2 the finance co I used said they were treated to some corprorate track action in one, courtesy of Rupert Lewin, they congratulated me on my purchase as the track day had really opened their eyes to the potential of the 996 GT2. I believe this to be the said car. Upshot is it's done a fair few track miles one can imagine. As for HWM then based upon searches here im recommending my business partner give them a wide birth. Very, very questionable behaviour that I'm surprised is tolerated.

Seems they were all too busy attending to "family business" to service it between Oct 2005 & January 2013 . . . . . . blood takes a lot of cleaning up on that black leather eek

Or stored for future value and the son is now cashing in on an increasing market......... clever these boys
It's a shocking service history - 8 years and 8,000 Km's. I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, especially coming out of Italy.

JMy car has done 70k and it drives and looks like new even the ceramic brakes look as new.
I've seen the hwm car I belive it did have ceramic brakes and it has the wrong seats for a club sport lots of internal carbon fibre bits doesn't look as nice as mine could do with some work to make it mint I thought the kill switch under the bonnet looked wrong looked a bit like a rocker switch thought it should be red. I also noted the roll cage looked wrong it was black and I thought they were chrome but that's just a guess. The car had been cleaned very well but I would expect the car to look perfect.
Genuine CS's do have black cages and nomex seats. The switch for the cutout is a toggle switch and the cord is red. I know the car in question has done a LOT of track miles as used for corporate entertainment by Rupert Lewin Racing. The dealer, well, is a shocker. A genuine CS would sell in a heartbeat.
