997 turbo rear spoiler problem

Only one side of the rear spoiler goes up automatically which causes the spoiler failure message to show at the base of the rev counter. If I raise the spoiler manually using the switch inside the car before driving off so that the spoiler is level the failure message doesn't come on when I go over 70/75mph.

My car is nearly 9 years old and has done c53k miles. Anyone else had this problem and if so was the spoiler drive repaired or replaced? I've been told that a new spoiler drive is £2k + VAT!!

I quite like the ducktail ... def worth considering if a £2k bill starts heading my way. BTW the actuators have a rubber cup on the bottom of them so if you remove this you can see if its leaking fluid.

Any one heard of or had experience of RennKit eRam systems which is an electric Wing Actuation Kit made in the US and a lot cheaper than Porsche's hydraulic kit?
