964RS which track tyres

A good friend of mine has recently switched from Toyo R888's to CUP 2's but is really not getting on with them, particularly on turn in. Anyone else had similar issue with CUP 2's with a 64RS? I said I would pose the question here on his behalf (he is German).

He only really uses the car at the NBR GP circuit, SPA and Hockenheim. I advised him to try CUP 2's and he really isn't happy with them compared to his previous R888's. What he basically told me is that it understeers. He is now away on holiday on Sylt so I cant get any further details just yet. All geo settings are identical to previous, just the CUP 2's don't inspire the confidence the previous tyres did.
