Gen II GT3: pdk or manual

It was hinted by my local OPC that, despite only having bought a couple of new cars, my early expression of interest (mid 2014) in the GenII GT3 may actually put me in good stead for a build slot. Now I'm not holding my breath but it got me thinking as to whether or not I'd opt for the pdk or manual (should it actually be available).. manual is gonna be more fun, obvs, and you can always get a boggo standard daily driver with a modern auto box, so a manual makes good sense. I then get to wondering why the regular 991s in manual is so unpopular and resale values are so poor compared to, say an earlier GT car, to which it would give a good whipping round a track. Anyway, I was wondering if there were any thoughts on it..
