Who's looking forward to the 992?
Discussion
With the 992 due to be launched this autumn I'm wondering if people are getting excited?
For me, I'm really not sure about the looks of the rear end from the spy shots. Why do they need to try and homologate it with the panamera design? It's the 911, it can be a stand alone design.
What do people want to see in terms of engine, performance, character? Should the carrera be a back to basics sort of car, with the 'S' reserved for showcasing all the new technology that keeps it ahead of its rivals in the group tests etc?

Having not had the experience of owning 911s through the generations, I've loved my 991, without having to compare it to previous models. The 991.2 GTS has had such glowing reviews across the board and so I'm looking forward to seeing whether this will be built upon with the 992 GTS. For me, it has to be rear drive and with a manual gearbox and I think as my 2nd 911, I'd plan to push the boat out a little more with the options so that there are no little regrets to annoy me.
