I am currently looking for a 2011ish Cayman 2.9, I nearly purchased one from OPC Guildford a few months back but I felt I hadn't done enough research to make an informed decision, cost was around £28k.

Seems to be a lot more Boxters for sale at the moment than Caymans, can I assume this is because with winter approaching people are buying Caymams (hard top for winter)?

Am I right or is their little to no correlation in my theory!?

Would late winter/spring 2015 be a good time to be looking if more are coming onto the market?

Being honest I wish I had got the one from Guildford now, win some, lose some!

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback, makes very interesting reading.

When you say not up to scratch to be sold by OPC, do you mean these cars would be of a superior condition to perhaps a specialist?

Deprecation seems to be very good on the Cayman, hopefully when I find one I wont lose to much in my time owning!

Hi Chris, some specialists have equally high standards but its likely to be too many miles, servicing not 100% to schedule or with non-OPC etc. When I was looking for mine I found that many people's interpretation of FSH was rather different from mine. I actual had an interim service done (after 1 year) ratther than waiting for the full 2 years.
With my last car a BMW M135i after a year when I called up to book a service they almost refused to book the car in as it didn't need servicing for another 13 months sir!

This will be my first Porsche so the peace of mind offered by buying from OPC is critical to me, how long have you owned it for and what did you buy!

Oh seriously!? I thought OPC would be the safe bet! The only so far I have found is in Cambridge that meets the requirements but not ready yet with a long winter in Hampshire ahead!

Strange not having a car at the moment I have had a car since I was 17 now 26 but even though I use the wife's car it feels odd not to have my own!
