Too big for 986
Discussion
So it turns out I can't fit in a 986 without reclining the seat fully and subsequently my head being exposed to bashing on the anti roll bars in any sort of impact. Obviously this wouldn't be ideal. If I put the seat more vertical I barely fit.
Question is does anyone know if removing the front centre console would provide me with some relief or a semi acceptable driving position? (so called GT3 console delete)
I'm 6ft4ish and around 15 stone so not freakishly tall or heavy but I just cant fit in my mates car comfortably. It feels like someone's crippling my accelerator foot in his LHD car. I suppose it will be the same for my clutch in a RHD car.
Any ideas to make me fit would be great, I'd love to own one.

I'm 6'4" & fitted into our old 986s no problem. Plenty of headroom, even with a helmet on. Unless the OP is freakishly long in the body I would be surprised about a fit issue.
The problem is that to fit I have to have the seat reclined so much that my head is in direct contact with the roll over bars. I'm gutted I don't fit in one safely.I sat in a 2012 Boxster today- it had more than enough room. I guess I'd better start saving.
