Pulled the Trigger on BGTS
Discussion
Went for GTS rather than Spyder as our thoughts were Spyder is a bit too "hard core".
Spec wise there was a lot of help from the comments on here especially regarding the PCM vs CDR plus. We opted for CDR which gives us DAB and better sound...we'll use the iPhone for navigation if needed!
Spec is here: http://www.porsche.com/microsite/porsche-code/defa...
Not the biggest specified GTS coming in at just over £57K on the planet but suits us.

I don't think you do get DAB with the CDR radio...if you want DAB you have to opt for PCM.
You do:Audio system CDR Plus incl. Sound Package Plus
Audio system with seven loudspeakers and a total output of 185 watts. Equipped with: high-resolution 7-inch colour touchscreen, radio with analogue and digital twin tuner for receiving radio broadcasts on FM/AM wavebands and in the DAB, DAB+ and DMB formats , single CD/DVD drive, USB port for various iPod® and iPhone® models, MP3 players and USB memory sticks containing MP3 tracks. Support for cover art and playback of podcasts and audiobooks. Operable via CDR Plus audio system or optional multifunction steering wheel, AUX interface for connecting other external audio sources. Functions are operated using the controls on the connected device itself

My spec came to £69.5k but I admit to going a little tick-happy with the options list
Blimey you did go tick-happy, that one hell of an option list you must have there! For another £1K PCM might be worth it. I have a little while until lock down and I'll give it some thought.

You've got a good spec there, all the right bits covered for a "pure" GTS experience. Unlike myself you've been much more disciplined with ticking boxes. You were definitely right staying with the GTS interior of alcantara and leather rather than opting for the no-cost full leather which completely spoils the GTS exclusive interior. Congratulations!
Thanks. Although not the biggest set of options we are pleased with the final choices. The one option we mused about a lot was manual vs. PDK. We opted for manual for the "true" sports car experience. Our 997 turbo was manual, our black edition Boxster was PDK. We just felt with the manual you are more in touch with the car. No right or wrong here just personal choice.
I remember the turbo's clutch being so light. Can anyone with a manual BGTS confirm the clutch pedal is light too? I seem to remember it has hydraulic assistance?
Thanks
