981 Gen 2 - Pricing Speculation in Car Aug 2015 Issue

Car magazine (Aug 2015 issue) has an insider report regarding the gen 2 models. It has all the usual discussion regarding the switch to turbo 4 cylinder engines and minor body mods. They also speculate that Cayman pricing will under cut the Boxster! There could also be a name change to '718' to bring the range in line with the '911' and '918'.

If the speculation is correct and the Gen 2 Cayman undercuts the Boxster how will that affect residual values of gen 1 six cylinder Caymans vs Boxsters?

It speculates 2.0l 250bhp engine for the base models, 2.5l 300bhp for S spec and 370bhp for the GTS. With future GT4 models sticking with 6 cylinders. Minor tweaks to the lights and bumpers and a general weight reduction.

No mention of any changes to the infotainment system but the car needs it, for me it's the one area of the car that really disappoints. My 2010 BMW 3 Series has a better system than my 981 Cayman S has.
