981 Coding of auto stop/start, rain sensor & headlights?
Discussion
Guys,
Does anybody know if you can decrease the sensitivity of the auto-headlights so they turn on when it is a bit darker?
Can the rain sensor be coded to be even more sensitive than the stalk adjustment?
Additionally, my car has the standard option 785, "Auto stop/start - default on". Does anybody know if you can code this in reverse, so the default is off and you press the button to turn it on?
Thanks

No, air pressure in the car. I might tighten the stops on the underside of the hatches, see if that helps.
I was advise to just let it fall then give it a firm push but I don't like putting my hand on the paintwork. Basalt Black, just glancing at it could put a mark on it. Lately I've taken to using the hand hold on the underside, bringing the hatch down swiftly. Seems to work most of the time.
Try it my way, I think you'll find it works.I was advise to just let it fall then give it a firm push but I don't like putting my hand on the paintwork. I spoke to the dealer today and they informed me that it is hard coded and they can't turn it off. A quick Google search seems to back this up.
However this appears to be the solution for the auto start/stop:

Coding for ASS can be changed as up until last year US cars had the choice.
NOT hard coded. It can be changed. Whether they will or not is another matter. Mine won't deviate from 'standard'........
MY16 cars are hard coded from what I can find out.NOT hard coded. It can be changed. Whether they will or not is another matter. Mine won't deviate from 'standard'........

That might be the case for the new 718 but for the 981 that is untrue. However this appears to be the solution for the auto start/stop:
