M2 isnt IMHO as nice a looking car, but engine is a peach and although on paper not much cheaper than the Porsche, has more standard spec, like Nav etc.

Porsche has the best residuals by a long chalk. It will be interesting to see.

Guys, this thread isnt a debate about new versus old. Start a new thread if you want to debate it, cheers.

Just read the review; not the longest in the world, close call in places but the Cayman wins it, not least by being "the best chassis in the world".

No, wrong, see the title. Start another one or keep banging away about it in the other 718 threads, cheers.

The point you fail to understand is that this thread is about comparing 3 cars and as always you drag it into a tedious debate about something completely different.

But you have to have the last word so I will leave this thread to you. Tata.

You are wasting your time. He is like a religious nut. Has his opinion and can't accept any other. Has to make every conversation about his topic regardess of the conversation at hand.

Don't argue with morons they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

"C" Moose. We know you don't like the 718. We know you don't like the idea of buying new. We know you like your (slightly awkward looking) gen1 Cayman.

And you calling everyone idiots isnt being insulting?

You have made yourself look an idiot on this thread as pointed out by others. It was just about a comparison between 3 cars.

But I am out now. Have a nice day Mr keyboard warrior.

As an every day proposition I think the m2 would be good. Jag is out for all the reliability issues jlr just don't seem to be able to sort.

Whenever I stumble across one of these threads there always seems to be the same person at the centre sucking all the oxygen out of it.
Indeed. Cringeworthy even.
Drives me nuts too. Most folk on here are well meaning. Some view this as some sort of forum to coax others into a logic trap. I have a degree in philosophy and some of the responses here don't even make sense to me. I don't know how some posters can find the time to be expert enthusiasts or whatever you want to call them as they spend too much time trying to pick holes in what is mostly innocent opinion. Let's stick to the topic guys.

I haven't driven the 718 yet so cannot comment. Some people prefer it. Some people don't. But I see no reason why they should be aggressively criticised for the logic to get to their conclusions. Even if you do see logical flaws, there are better ways to express opposing views without attracting scorn and criticism.

Just saying....
Your sensible rational thinking will have no place with these keyboard warriors! Save your energy. .
