Thanks guys, his budget was 35k really and I talked him into this as an alternative from 997 C2S. Yes appreciate the buckets comment but funnily he hates buckets and moaned about my buckets in the Lambo on the way there and back Lol. I am a bit out of touch with Porsche but it looks like 47-52k if you are going to get really fussy about buckets and low owners. The good bit I suppose is its a manual driving

The wheels in the pic were wrong as the car hadn't been in stock long enough to get pictures hence pictures of a previous sold :car. These are the wheels:

These guys sold 5 cars while we were there including the Silver Coco/ Spyder

Not many of these about now ?

£37k seems a good price!...

Is your brother coming on PH too, to tell us how he gets on with it?

Yes it was a consideration having had a few owners but I measured the paint thickness and all panels wings bonnet doors quarters and boot are original paint so at least all the owners were careful.Front bumper could do with a refresh but it is 6 years old now I guess.

I nearly bought that car, looks very nice indeed. Was only the number of previous owners that put me off.

Although the 987 Spyder was not a limited edition, I read somewhere that only around 220 were sold in the UK. Great cars, more attractive than the 981 Spyder in my opinion, and awesome to drive (but then I am biased.... Mine's silver!)

Wow that's some back garden you got there driving

Its probably about a 50/50 split. Buckets look nice, save weight and must be absolutely superb on a track day but they are a pain to get in and out of for people like me and way too low for shorter people like my partner. And they are not heated which is a shame in an open car with a non-insulated single skin roof that looks great with the rear section left out - I've used mine summer and winter and find they really help with making the car an enjoyable thing to be in, especially up in the mountains smile

The car has also been Rev checked for peace of mind and looking at the addresses of the previous owners they must have all been Vicars biggrin

Well my brother has collected it and now has it home! He says it drives like a dream and generally is alot sharper in the handling department and also more stable at higher speeds than his previous 997 3.8S.

A happy bunny and he has now signed up to PH so will be along to post soon!

Good man, he'll love it. Took mine out for a bit of a workout yesterday and made myself laugh out loud. Fast, sharp and stunning balance, but enough of an edge when you go for it to keep you on your toes. Had mine five years now and absolutely zero plans to replace
