OK, probably a stupid question that I know the answer to already, but are there any (thin) booster seats that can fit a bucket seat (ie. such as this):

I guess not, but if anyone would know I thought it would be on here!

Much as I love the seats, if i can never have kids in them it kind of puts (yet another) nail in the "practicality" box for everyday use frown . Will restrict my search to non-buckets if nothing available.

Thanks smile

Yes there is, see attached photos, I have finished with it if you would like it drop me a line.
Very kind Ed, really appreciate it, but I am still looking, and trying to work out whether to rule out buckets or not. Appreciate you posting the model info too.

Word to the wise, the rules on kiddie seats has just/is just about to change.

I think booster seats are now a no no.
Thanks. I remember reading about potential law changes going forward, but I think (need to check) that you are allowed to keep using any seats already bought, but they were going to stop selling boosters with no backs? I'd better look into.

Porsche state that child seats must not be used with bucket seats. Go to the configurator and select the info button for bucket seats and it says so there very clearly!
Blimey, that wouldn't even have registered with me, but you are spot on:

Porsche configurator said:
Lightweight racing seats with folding backrest, integrated thorax airbag and manual fore/aft adjustment. Seat shell made from glass-/carbon-fibre reinforced plastic with carbon-weave finish, seat in smooth-finish leather in interior colour. Note: child seats must not be used with the sports bucket seats
But why? I hate when statements are made for no (obvious to me) reason. Because the seats are more angled (bucket), so in some way this is less safe with a booster?

I have one from Halfords which not only fits but also kinda matches the trim too! It's a Pampero and the narrowest one they do.

Here is a pic of it in mine, hope it helps.

That looks great, looks OEM-fit! But after thinking I wanted buckets as I can use a booster I now want (need) to know why Porsche say it's a no.

I might post in the "car seat" thread, and see if any experts on there can shed any light.

I have the Sparco booster seat posted in the GT4 seats above, word of warning though if you have the Cayman R buckets (which Bungle you do) then it doesn't fit!!
Thanks beanoir. But afraid I don't have those, I'm still looking! (just posted as an example).

Might it be something to do with the seatbelt position preventing it being unplugged properly in the event of an accident rather than the seat mounting being incompatible?
That is the most plausible argument put forward, ie. the seatbelt is INSIDE of the bolsters (rather than outside and going across the top of both bolsters), so does that mean somehow that a child seat/bolster (in an accident) could jam against it to prevent the seatbelt release?

I don't know the answer, but it's a theory at least?
