987 Porsche Boxster - Roof Problem

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help - I'm desperate to get this sorted.
I have a 987 Porsche Boxster that's developed a problem with closing the roof.
It's all ok when putting the roof down but when putting the roof back up it stops about 3-4 times, so have to re-press the switch each time it stops to get the roof to fully close. I have asked a Porsche specialist garage to look at the problem and they initially though it was the switch but have now advised that it could be a micro switch under the gearbox .. I really don't want to ask them to proceed as I'm concerned with how much labour cost this will involve and if it's not the issue it's money wasted
Any ideas/suggestions would be really appreciated

Yes, it stops then I have to take my finger off the switch and basically start again .... tends to do this 3-4 times on the way up.
Unsure whether to take it away from the Porsche specialist and go to a main Porsche garage and see what they make of it .. I'm currently into the specialist for 1.5 hours labour - god only knows what they charge per hour and no further forward with it
