Macan Turbo Lead-times
Discussion
Can anyone give me their latest experiences on the lead-times for a new Macan Turbo?
My OPC says they have increased allocations of diesels and can deliver these by year end. Petrol S are around 12-15 months and the Turbo has now increased from a 15-18 month lead-time to currently around 18-20 months.
This seems hellishly long and i am wondering if it is to get me to order quickly and then they say 'Hey, your allocation has come in early!' or to convince me to pay over list for a 2nd hand one.
Any thoughts or experiences would be gratefully received.

Get your name down for a Macan GTS. It's been confirmed for this year in VAG annual report, so you should get it fairly sharpish too! Should be only slightly slower than the Turbo and should be the pick of the range in terms of driving dynamics / value.
Hi JP. Dealer has taken my LOI and has said if I order a turbo they will happily switch me into a GTS based on the LOI date given to them a few weeks ago.I think GTS could be the way to go but I'm old fashioned so would like to see the details before I commit.

Last week, I asked Porsche Leicester for Macan lead times. I was quoted the official line of 12-15 months but was told that it was more likely to be 7-8 months.
Was that for diesel? That is very similar to the lead times I was given as well. Seems to be the Turbo that is slipping time wise.Seeker UK said:
Yes, it was for a diesel. The only Macan you're likely to get sooner is a 2.0T.
Time is not the major deciding factor. I have driven the 3.0S petrol and decided it's not for me. That leaves me with the Turbo and the dealer has offered me the option to switch the build into a GTS if I like the spec and has noted my LOI so I am further up the queue. It seems like the Turbo lead times are still 18-20 months which will be a slow painful wait!
