I work in the building trade and I’m considering buying an old Cayenne to commute to and from a job for a few months September - December. I usually work with my dad who drives us around but he’s taking a few months out. Using his van is not an option, nor is using my regular car, 718 boxster.

I know it’s silly, that for the price I’m looking, £5k, I could buy a simple run around with no issues at all, or even a decent van.

This is very much a short term fix. Once I’ve done this job, I’ll be looking to sell and get my money back. I don’t want a run around that will be hard to shift for the purchase price or to be lumbered with a van I don’t need. Fuel costs aren’t a problem, there’ll be an allowance.

Does anyone have any experience with them? Or perhaps a better suggestion for a few months? I probably need some sense talking into me tbh.

Thanks, what kind of mileage did you get to before selling? I’m seeing 160k on autotrader but I’d be looking to get in at 90-100.

It’s tempting to pick up a turbo for around £8k and put my boxster in the garage until the spring but then I’ve gone from looking for a run around for a few months to looking at a Cayenne Turbo laugh
