I own a 90 964 C2 manual and need some help to see if I have a gearbox issue or nothing to worry about.

I was in central London on the weekend and was probably driving around for a couple of hours in very intense stop start traffic which required a lot of gear changes and I could see general oil temperatures were rising. On the way home once off the M4 it became almost impossible to select gears, especially first gear but really it was all of them.

I parked up at home and the car was hot. I left it for a couple of hours and still hard to select but slightly better, then an hour or two later it seemed fine.

Is this a common thing for the gearbox to seize/get sticky when very hot?

Those symmptoms are typical of the clutch slave cylinder and hose needing changing or bleeding at the very least.
Is this a fairly easy (read reasonably cheap) job to have done by a specialist garage?

Great thank you all. Apologies if recurring question ;-). I'm going to do a test this weekend when I next drive the car and see whether it's still there. If still a problem i'll try to resolve armed with the info above. Cheers
