After 15 months of ownership and 8k miles I've sadly parted with my 458 and px'd in a deal for something different.
I thought I'd comment because I got a reasonable deal on the car regardless of those that would tell you the bottom has fallen out of the 458 market and they'll be worth a bag of washers in six months.
The other thing I would say is what a joy owning this car has been, apart from one service it's never been back to the dealers and it's never as much missed a single beat.
If anyone out there is thinking of buying one my advice would be go and do it, you really won't regret it!

Wow, 2 Aventadors. That's just greedy wink

Have you taken delivery yet Steve?

Any chance you'll be bringing it to the Beaulieu Supercar day on Bank Holiday Monday?
No picking it up tomorrow. Looking forward to it(-:
I was looking for something to do over the weekend Beaulieu might be a nice idea!

Congratulations Steve!

15 months is a long time for you to keep a car, wish I could keep up with you! Lol.... Still have your old 360 and going great.... But you really have done it now... I just love your new purchase. I'm sure you said that you would take me for a spin when I brought the 360! Remember?

Cheers and enjoy
Paul
Hi Paul,
Yes if I didn't have a car habit I'd be a wealthy man. Good to hear the cars going well, I bet you've not lost a penny on that wish I could do the same.
If you see me about come and say hello.

Cheers
Steve

Great choice, I'm considering one of these at the moment too.

Don't know if i should stretch myself to an Aventador over the 12C or 458. How does it compare to the 458?

I'll be ready to buy end of September, actually can't wait!

It's very different from the 458. The power seems more visceral its a real brute but you can tell the technology is there to help you out.
The cabin is a great place to be very refined and even the radio works properly and you don't need a degree to use the CD player.
The sound is out of this world even a low speed in sport it howls and when you lift off it sounds like its clearing its throat.
I can't comment on the driving really , I've only trolled around locally and done a few motorway miles but I'll come back on that soon.
I've had a few nice cars in my time but the AV is possibly the best looking of all in my opinion or at least the most striking, I've absolutely never had a car that gets so much attention and to date most of it positive.
Initially I was looking at a new Huracan but following a visit to the showroom and a bout of man maths I decided I could probably own an 18month old Aventador for less money than it would cost to own a new Huracan . That and it's got propr Lambo doors(-:
