Thank you. That's great information - much appreciated. The car is the colour combo I'm looking for so I guess I will have live with resale challenges. I do intend to keep it for many years so it's not an immediate concern. The low mileage is appealing but I will be sure to check on all the issues you have listed and negotiate accordingly. The service history is complete and all main dealer (JCT 600 in Leeds) and the manifolds were replaced at the last service. Annual service and dealer verification of key areas is included, tyres are 5mm. I'm off to see it this weekend and will go over all the areas in your post. Again - much appreciated and really useful.
Clearly seems to be some room for negotiation on the price then. Does anyone have any other current examples to measure against? I've had a good look online as to what is available and there's not much below 70k with below 20k mileage on it. I know mileage isn't everything but low mileage plus a clean car plus FFSH generally indicates a well looked after vehicle - IMHO. Anything else available that people are aware of?
OK. Thanks all. As I said I do like the colour combo and it's an F1 coupe that I'm after - not the spider. Some great pointers here as to what to look out for and I'm glad I asked the question. If everything checks out - and I can negotiate the right price - we'll hopefully meet up at some event somewhere in the future. I'll be the git with the red steering wheel
