Erhhh, A Little Help Please.... Locked Out of Stradale
Discussion
Hi all
Okay a bit of a numpty thing to do but after the excitment of picking up my new pride and joy Stradale a few weeks back, I have managed to render it totally imobile.
Basically, I needed to let the car sit for a couple of weeks and was going to attach a battery trickle charger and then I noticed the electrical cut off switch under the front hood. So I switched it off and promptly closed the bonnet....... Hmmm. Problem is I now can't get into the bonnet area as the release catch is triggered by a switch in the car, but the car has no power obviously (scratches head....).
Luckily the passenger door is open so I can at least get into the car but I can't close it as the drop down windows are now not working....
If anyone can assist as to how I can get my bonnet release to pop I would be extremely grateful.
Is it just me or is this a bad design flaw in the location of the cut-off switch. Perhaps I am not the first therefore to suffer from this so if there is already another thread, it would be equally great if someone could point me there as i couldn't find it.
Many thanks

The 'bad design flaw' is assuming owners read the manual !!
Why on Earth would anyone read the instructions for a 6 figure purchase when you can press things at random or just ask on the internet? It's not like it's anything complex, like a washing machine.

There is a pull toggle under the steering wheel that releases the bonnet. It is described in the manual.Okay a bit of a numpty thing to do but after the excitment of picking up my new pride and joy Stradale a few weeks back, I have managed to render it totally imobile.

Good point about which side the steering wheel is.. Mine is LHD so perhaps on a right hooker it's passenger side.
Mine also a LHD. I did actually call Marenello in Egham and explained the problem I had and they told me to 'attach a power supply' to the boot lid switch so perhaps they could also do with a read of the manual.....Gassing Station | Ferrari V8 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
