Just read the news over at autocar, I knew one was in the works but 200kg shed off the weight??? how do you think they've managed that?

It's going to be a hooligan, apparently not limited but with this possibly being the last of the N/A v12s perhaps a future classic?

Any one have any more info on the car?

Michael

I spoke to a dealer who said it wasn't going to be called a GTO as Ferrari didn't want to devalue the brand. They were getting two and preference would be given to those customers who would buy or have bought a FF or F12 recently. That's me out.
Hmm I find that statement a little odd.. I love the 599 GTO, but what was so special about the 599 that it deserved the iconic GTO badge then?

That it was derived from the 599 FXX - and believe me that is a car that is not road legal - runs on slicks with a full aero package. The 599 GTO is a very, very special car. I'm sure there are a few owners on here that can testify to this.
I'm fully with you that the GTO is a special car, couldn't agree more. All lightweight ferraris are special in my eyes. I didn't actually factor in the 599 XX program. I guess on that basis, not using the GTO badge for the F12 makes sense.

"Reports suggest that the car will feature a power increase from 730hp to 780hp, shave 200kgs off the original F12 Berlinetta, and be capable of lapping Ferrari’s Fiorano test track only 1 second slower than the LaFerrari hyper car."
You just beat me to it!

Hopefully it doesn't look to much like that image, rear is abit of a mess... but the specs sound awesome!
