Aftermarket discs and pads 2012 G

I am changing my discs and pads but this is a section of the car which I have never really messed with in the past (we deal with the software and engine side)
Anyone upgraded the discs and pads to better spec than OEM and found them better ?

I'm on an LP560 2012, I'm not a brake specialist so am unsure but have been told by some that oem is the best and by others that aftermarket is best but would like to know if anyone has done this and what they found.

I really appreciate your reply, this is why I love this forum.
I spoke with them yesterday and ordered my kit together with their pads.

I went for the complete setup, front and rear.
