There is a separate 2008 Superleggera (Gen 1) Register so perhaps it's time for a Superleggera 570-4 Register.

This comes to mind from another recent discussion topic copied below which is worth separating out as the 570-4s are clearly low in number and often overlooked:

Hi David, I slightly prefer the look of the Gallardo to the Huracan and liked the idea of a more limited ultimate version. I went to see the green car right after viewing a fairly well used R8 and just fell in love with it. It wasn’t really a super carefully researched purchase if I’m honest! But I’m very much looking forward to getting it next week.
Congratulations Julian,
Brilliant car, love mine, I was told recently be a fellow owner that currently only 14 on the road in the UK.
Possibly your friend Sunny is quoting the numbers from 'How many left'. Looking today the licensed registrations for Superleggera 570-4s first started in 2010 Q3 – 2 and Q4 – 3. That seems about right, the first deliveries are believed to have been about June 2010. There are 0 entries for the 2007, 2008 and 2009 years so there is no confusion with the Gen 1 Superleggeras.

The most current information is up to 2022 Q4. For 2022 the highest number is in Q2 with 9 licensed and 5 SORN, so 14 total.
For 2021 the highest number is in Q2 and Q3 with 10 licensed and 5 SORN, so 15.
The figures do vary up and down, the absolute highest being in 2019 Q1 with 9 licensed and 7 SORN, so 16 total and again in 2018 Q1 with 13 licensed and 3 SORN, so 16 total again. Possibly these figures are best treated as indicative.

Lets see how many we can find ourselves. There is no separate classification for Superleggera 570-4 Edizione Tecnicas, so it’s assumed that these are all grouped together. Possibly some of the original UK Edizione Tecnicas may have been exported, I don’t think the 2 orange and the white one have been seen advertised for several years.

So any current or previous owners, please post your pictures and any other comments, ideally giving:
the exact first registration date because many are or have been on private plates;
whether the car has the optional ‘full’ interior carbon fibre trim to lower part of steering wheel, main dash board dial surround, 3 central dials surround, hand brake lever handle, door pull lever handles, full central transmission tunnel, or ‘standard’ (not carbon fibre);
whether there is engine compartment carbon fibre (this usually comes with the optional full interior trim);
whether there is the LED engine compartment and interior lighting package;
whether the car has carbon ceramic or steel discs;
what colour the brake calipers are.

The above information should be sufficient to separate any of the same colours registered in the same month and year.

Thanks for the link David. Of the 196 cars listed, at a quick glance only 5 are (or were at one stage) UK cars.
As that register gives a more complete listing, the intention here is really to get a better idea of how many SL 570-4 cars there are in the UK.
'How many left' suggests 14 for 2022 with 16 back in 2019.

At this point the intention is just to focus on the Superleggera 570-4, so not the STS or Performantes or other limited editions as part of this topic. Probably it will depend on how forthcoming present and previous owners are in submitting information.

Also advertised, probably one more but may be one less:

Yellow: First registered: 01/09/2012. Standard interior carbon fibre trim, steel discs, black calipers, 3,500 miles.
Imported by HK Supercar Imports about 2022? Presumably this is an additional car to the original UK cars

Black Edizione Tecnica: First registered: 08/07/2013. Standard interior carbon fibre trim, carbon ceramic discs, orange calipers.
This one has been advertised at Motorhub for several years. LJ13 AUU can still be found on an MOT search but has no MOT history! If the car had been re-registered on a private plate, then a ‘There is a problem’ type message would appear.
Does this mean that Motorhub still has the car, or may be it was exported years ago?
Does anyone know?

Argh, that's helpful to know, thanks. If the car was privately owned it would have to be taxed or SORN. As it's held within the motor trade in this case it shows as 'Untaxed', tax due on 20/07/2016.

I wonder if 'How many left' includes untaxed cars within the SORN category, or if it is strictly those recorded as SORN.

Oh! It's still advertised today on Car&classic.com, posted on 25th June.
If it's no longer for sale perhaps you might want to chase them up or GVE, or both.

Congratulations on finally getting delivery Julian. What a great spec and condition car.

If the tyres were the original ones as the car has only done about 2,000 miles then they would have hardened up after 12 years. Possibly even some perish crack lines if the car has sat in the same position for long periods. So great to start off with new tyres all round.

It looks like the neighbours will know each time you start it up.

Enjoy, gets some miles on the clock. Let us know how you get on.

The car is looking as clean on the underside as it is spotless as seen from the normal viewpoimts when on the ground.
Having access to a ramp certainly gives you the opportunity to have a thorough look around underneath and to see if there's anything looking like it needs some attention.

That's a great first 500 miles impressions update Julian.
That's amazing that the original battery has lasted about 12 years presumably on something like a ctek charger full time when not being driven.
For a regular not necessarily daily driver, 4-5 years seems about the norm in my use.

You mention how you have found the gearbox, steering, ride, brakes, etc. This may be a good place to provide a link to sunnym3's previous post where JayEmm reviewed sunny's Superleggera 570-4. JayEmm has his own Scuderia so is in an ideal position to be able to comment about how they compare. He also mentions these points. The speed of the gearchanges can be heard which certainly still sound acceptably quick for a car that was introduced back in 2010. Obviously speed of gearchange has moved on 13 years later.

Here's the link to sunnym3's previous post: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
When you start the video there is about a 3.00 min introduction when you wonder if you are watching the right video before the Lambo content starts. Overall he "enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I might".

They still have the car, apparently its "part of their collection" and was last serviced in 2020.
Motorhub has now added some more current photos of their Edizione Tecnica. Perhaps it’s time to move it on from the Collection.

I bought the grey one on the first page a few months ago! Absolutely love it! Such a machine!
Congrats on buying the grey Superleggera. Grigio Telesto is fairly rare for the 570-4. I'm only aware of your 2012 (assuming that it has steel brakes as opposed to the advertised carbon ceramic discs) and a 2013 car in the UK.

What attracted you to a Superleggera as opposed to the Ferrari and McLaren alternatives, or even a Huracan?

At the moment it is not possible to send you an email. This may be as you would prefer. However if this was not your intention there is somewhere as part of the registration where you can permit emails.

The black one with the gold wheels is mine. I am hoping to get it back in March, it's a hard sell at the moment.
So assuming that you do get the car back, then another visit to the Italian Car Day at Brooklands on Sat 4th May 2024, for car and owner.
