Hi All, looking at picking up a 16,17 plate Huracan Spyder next year.

Having researched I see servicing is 9000 miles or annually and £900 - £1500 depending on which type of service it is, but I am thinking this is probably £1200 - £2000 ?

As for Lamborghini warranty, I have read / heard so much conflicting information on when it is available, whether transferrable, costs and whether they stop offering over a certain age.

Can anyone shed any real world knowledge ?

Are there any non Lamborghini warrantes worth looking at ?

Many thanks

Annual warranty extension for my MY18 Perf is £3399 plus 200 or so inspection fee when done with a service (more if not part of a service). If you 2 do years at a time it’s cheaper.

Those service costs look for a minor service. I believe year 6 is a big one so more than that. I’d shop around for the service. Prices with main dealers outside of the SE area are 35%+ cheaper with a bit of very mild haggling.
That's really useful thanks

I see the car comes new with a 3 year warranty and after that they offer a selezione program

"The Warranty Extension covers cars participating in the Selezione program with an additional Lamborghini warranty of at least 12 months.
The formula covers parts and labor and guarantees the use of Original Spare Parts and the work of Lamborghini specialized technicians.
To be eligible for the Selezione program, the car must be no more than 7 years old and have no more than 43,500 Miles .
To renew the warranty, the car must pass the 150 tests of the Lamborghini checklist."

So if I pick up a 2017 model in 2024, I will not be able to get an official warranty extension ?

The Huracan is so reliable you should seriously consider self insuring and forget a 3rd party warranty.
Yes the engine appears bullet proof, and the gearbox whilst newer seems ok also.

It is all the other stuff though that could end up costly - chap has one in USA which has issues with reversing camera, lift, going into limp mode and door windows. Should all be covered under his warranty but adjustments and software upgrades are not always covered by warranty.....

Brave pill..... ?

It appears I might be looking at 3rd party warranty but not sure who offers them

It’s worth asking if you renew for say 2 years before the 7 years is up if that’s covered?

I’ve had 2 Huracans over a total of 5 years and the only issues I’ve had are a sticky cup holder and the rear lights having fine white powder in a corner (very minor cosmetic). I won’t be extending this year.
Good point - I will take a look.

With you having run the cars for 5 years with no issues certainly strengthens the case for not having a warranty, but buying one at 8 years old... an unknown car to me ... without warranty is 'food for thought'

stand to be corrected but from the lambo website....

Selezione Lamborghini Certified Pre-Owned is the official program that guarantees total peace of mind and safety for new buyers of pre-owned Lamborghini cars.

new buyers... of used cars from main dealers..... surely then the only way you can get your car extended like this is sell it to main dealer, they selezione it then sell you your car back...

if anyone has walked in, got a PPI and got a new warranty on a car out of warranty, please confirm
Thanks, so if buying a 16 or 17 plate, are there any non Lamborghini warrantees worth looking at ?
