Evening PH. I wonder whether you can answer this here, or let me have an email address I can refer it to please?

I've received this evening an unsolicited email, said to have come from O*.M*@haymarket, entitled "Message on behalf of PistonHeads Member". The message then goes on to detail information about me which the "researcher" (not O*M*) says they have gleaned from my profile.

The information happens to be correct, except, as far as I know that information isn't in my profile (is there a way of seeing your own profile as everyone else does?). So, my deflector beams are up.

So, as above, can anyone advise how this is happening and whether it's real please?

What's the point of the email?
It asks whether I will agree to be interviewed regarding a specific period in my past.

Morning CAPP0

That was from me.. A member was trying to contact you directly, however the PM function wasn't' working so I volunteered to pass on the message on her behalf.

Thanks Ollie, at least I know it's genuine. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't someone spamming your email address. I guess their message was just badly worded, referring to profile info when they must have searched old threads.

I'll look at the message again, cheers.
