Friends,

I am considering on installing a de-catted exhaust, for any of you have done the same how do I deal with the inevitable engine management warning light. Is there an ECU specialist who can mod the ECU's if that is what is required or is there a simple wiring modification.

Regards,

John

Cheers Bunk, I guess I should have thought of that. I keep the neighbours sweet with alcohol and a ride out from time to time! I will take a recording of the car once it is sorted and upload.

I'm sure anyone who installs these can also do the ECU modification if necessary.

A bigger question is the noise. Have you heard one of these decatted? I had a 2003 Murci with a tubi exhaust and Larini sports cats and it was bloody loud. It sounded great at full chat but I used to be embarassed coming into my housing estate because the noise would just reverberate off walls and stuff and I felt like a bit of a twunt. I can't imagine what a decat is like.

Hello Dave,

I'm told if I do not mess around with the Primary Cat's it should be OK. Super Veloce told me the light may come on after 20 mins or so then reset. I'll let you know how I get on. 633 HP is current figure and enough for me. Next time I see you I will explain

Fellas,

Sorry for the delay in replying I have been in hospital and then recuperating in Tenerife, lucky boy.

Thanks for the advice I reckon it needs to stay as it is as it sounds like a non starter.

Do you ever get the chance to meet up in the UK, I am from Durham but would be delighted to meet in say the Midlands

Hi Dave

I am game if we could generate some interest. Anyone else?

OK fellas that's a few people interested. However we now have to find a venue, decide if it a day meeting only, or an overnight stay, join a current event or run our own etc. Any suggestions?

Place looks great to me and a reasonably central UK location. If we are going to organize an event I know from experience of my TVR days you never find somewhere that suits all. Its going to take a bit of organising wherever and whenever so suggest we pick a place and a date and stick with it. I will copy this to a new forum subject to see if we get a few others interested.

Suggestion from one of the guys below

How about Fawsley Hall ? Just off the A43 near Silverstone;

https://www.handpickedhotels.co.uk/fawsleyhall

It's where Silverstone Porsche have all of their events. It's not too dear anyway, and they do special rates if you mention your a customer of Silverstone Pork. Secure place, big car park, discretely out of the way and safe for the cars. Lots of good roads and pubs around that bit of the A43 too....
