Morning chaps, what would you say we're the most popular colours for a 12C ?
None of the cars currently available I would have through choice from new, I think as a sports car they should be a sporty colour.
I guess I am kind of answering my own question in so much as if you check out the classifieds there seems to be a lot of Volcano Orange cars around, is it a case of that was the most popular colour or is it a case of they are for sale because unpopular ?
I have half an eye on potential resale but wouldn't let that be a key factor.
My colours would be
McLaren Orange
Black maybe ?
Silver ?
Really don't think Volcano orange or red is for me, the blue like Tour de France maybe, not a great deal of colours to choose from.

No they are not, I perhaps was a bit unclear, they don't really do proper "sporty" colours as such.
That is just my short list ....... I think

I would agree on McL Orange however they seem very rare being my point, I will stick my neck out and say 3 or 4 cars only ?
Certainly seems that way on the early cars

I dont think I have ever seen a colour so sensitive to the light as VO
I just got back recently from a trip to the south of france and there was one from germany in our garage, to me it just looked a rusty brown in the poor daylight (car park was underground 1 level but with open sides)equally I have seen it look IMO ok but dont think it would be the colour for me.
will try and post picture tonight unless SELON has a copy to hand.

Hazy - yeah had a new black boxster many years ago, looked the mutts but as you say pain to keep clean, I found even on a nice day a trip up the end of the road meant a wash or dust off on static alone !
Dugan - yes that's the colour I would have through choice, liking the black with red interior in classifieds currently though :-)

Looks like Volcano Red as a back up
Any one seen the pearl white in the sun?
As per my original post, a month or so back all you could see were VO cars, certainly for 2011 cars.
swings and roundabouts I guess but wouldnt think you will struggle to find one.

I love Ice Silver !
The P1 at the McLaren Tech Centre, I think it is customer car number 1, is of that colour and it is absolutely superb.
But then, I love blue cars (and the ice silver is a very bluish metallic grey) so I could be the only one !

Not many around that is the problem.
I was unsure until I saw it in the flesh ....... Looks superb but I maybe a little biased

What colour interior has it got?

And interior carbon or no carbon?

Paul Bailey lives near ish to me and I have seen him out in his 12c coupe out every now and again, ice silver with red interior. They do look great and low, and despite what some say I think it sounds pretty naughty biggrin
Black leather / alcantara with red stitch.
Carbon interior pack
Sports exhaust

Current idea is to follow the shape of the air intake you can see in the first picture, so about half of what you see in the second photo, I don't know yet originally I wanted to spice it up a bit now I'm just looking at and admiring its purity and simplicity and clean lines etc.

Car is currently having a detail and paint protection with Xpel self healing.
I liked the colour from day one but have now grown to love it.
Hand on heart only other colour for me is mcl orange.
I just fancied (with the stripe) something a bit different, started with a pin stripe and then the more you look at the car the more you see the Mcl logo, for instance running lights, side vents, front vents, such subtle but clever little designs.
I may go for a simple red pinstripe just to define the side vents.
No doubt once back and protected I will prob shelf the idea ....... Until winter smile
