McLaren owners meet / weekend 2015

Hi Guys, a lot of us new owners on here the last couple of months and I think the cars are finally getting some recognition for the fantastic cars that they are.
I know a few of us are kent / SE located.
Would anyone be interested in a meet up for lunch with the cars or maybe a trip to France as either a day trip to Le Touquet for lunch and or maybe a stopover.
I know a great road to Le Touquet, and also a chateau (nothing grand) that is on the border with Belgium and the old road circuit of camay.
Equally for those north based I have no idea but maybe someone knows somewhere in the middle (Donnington) ?
Not a race or drinking contest but chance to meet up and share stories over some nice food and good company.

I guess we are looking at end of August but many may have plans already or once kids back at school mid September time, obviously weather dependant.

Any interest ?

Hi SELON - is that every Sunday or is there one date that you don't play ?
I dare say we could do a day trip if thinking France one Saturday or maybe the BH Monday ?
Sure we can find a date that suits majority.

Hi guys, I am back from my holidays so as promised lets see if we can arrange a meeting.

Bank Holiday Monday seemed to suit most by the looks of it, shall we think about a daytrip to France - Le Touquet ? or would we prefer keeping to UK ?

I would suggest we wait until maybe the wednesday (26th) before we book the Eurotunnel (high vehicle), and see what the weather forcast is, I know they wont melt but its not a lot of fun with 600 bhp in the rain and your life savings.

I am thinking Coffee stop in France on route, Lunch in Le Touquet area, and depending on feedback maybe dinner ?

Happy to go with the flow if others want a UK lunch somewhere, was only thinking French day trip as a bit more of an event.

So would a Lunch or breakfast run be preferable ?
We are all based in roughly the same area.
I have an excellent route to Tenterden via Rye but needs to be an early start for breakfast run.
Lunch venue will need some further thought.

Regarding dates the 31st was suggested to include SELON but he is not collecting his car until mid sep so we could do sunday the 30th if suits better.

Any otherc care to join ? the more the merrier?

I was thinking of a meet up followed by a decent drive and then breckie or lunch.
Not sure a lap of the M25 counts :-)

For france we only need to book eurotunnel and a restaurant depending on numbers.

Those of us kent / Surrey based could meet up first and then drive for lunch at the Goodwood hotel after a ride out, for goodwood I normally go to bottom of M23 then nice route across country via the A272 and Petworth etc.

Would we all prefer :

Early morning run to incorporate late Breakfast at Cafe Rouge type venue.

Or run out followed by Lunchtime meet at a Hotel / Golf club type venue

Or being really keen both.

I guess hotel lunch type meet would enable us to look around and chat cars more than breakfast venues.

Ok so it would appear a lunch somewhere would be more preferable.
Kent direction or goodwood direction ?
And most important what date ?? We need to think about weather as always so sooner rather than later I guess

Think we had someone who couldn't do the Monday, and someone who couldn't do the weekend out of those that showed interest..

mb1 - can do any weekends, including the BH Monday. Only date I cannot do is Sun 13th Sept. Can do Sat 12th Sept.

iphone says end of week looking good but currently only goes to saturday.
