Always dreamed of owning a 650s, but in the last few weeks, whilst realising that I can't afford one, I also realised that the 12C is a bloody fabulous car despite what all the hacks said at the beginning.

This one does look tip top to me. Was just wondering if anyone knows the car and whether it has spent any time as a ring taxi or hire car. hehe

For the record, yes it was an SOR and the owner of the car changed his mind at the 11th hour. Bloody annoying but what can you do. Worst part was that I found out 5 minutes after breaking the news to my parents who now think I'm totally nuts!! I've not told them the deal fell through yet. laugh

Alastair was a gentleman and pleasure to deal with throughout, as everyone who has dealt with him will, I'm sure, agree with.

He has made it his mission to find me a better car at the same price. biggrin

I'm sorry, but I would be ringing around main dealers now after that let down.

Once bitten twice shy.
How is it at all Alastair's fault??

Not if the seller and his agent (the dealer) have a contract. If I was the dealer, I'd want a contract.

And if I wasted somebodies time, I'd want to see them right.
Agreed. Just like Alastair took £2k off me as a deposit, I wonder if he should take a deposit from a seller before their car gets marketed. They'd then lose that if they sold elsewhere or pulled out. Maybe that's a bit draconian??

Oh it's the same car that AB was selling a few weeks ago and then the owner pulled out....it just goes to show what a strange bunch of people these McLaren owners are...laughlaugh
It's not the same car.
