Given the mixed feelings on PH about the i3 - I wonder how many of us are going to take the plunge?

For me, it appeals as it is quite different to anything on the road and anything I have ever owned.

The lack of company car tax and very low running costs help too!

Me too, and it was the PH review that swung it! You ordering one then?

I only ordered mine last week and they are saying Jan/Feb.

Hi Andy! I reckon the M3 / i3 combo is a winner!

They are warranted for 100,000 miles and 8 years. No idea on replacement cost.

Here's an interesting drag race between an M3 and an i3!

Do you have a delivery date yet? As mine is going to the pure electric I think I may get mine first...

What colour / trim have you ordered?

Went to look at one on Saturday and the wife loved it. Going to get a test drive sorted this week. For those that have ordered what do you see as the 'essential' options?
I have gone for non-Rex with Harmdon Kardon, Winter Pack, Turbine Wheels, Metallic Paint. I also got a free upgrade to Pro Media but I think that offer has finished now.

Thanks. The salesman did mention the Pro Media upgrade. He seemed to think the DC fast charge was an essential option too, I'm not so sure.
AFAIK there isn't anywhere in the UK you can use a Fast DC charging point yet... Could be handy in the future though I guess.

I walked past something claiming to be just that at M40 Warwick services the other day - is this not a type that the i3 can use?
TBH I am not sure - more research required it would seem!

Ordered mine a few weeks ago. February delivery. Friends who have test driven have all been blown away. Can't wait.
REx, (to mitigate the range anxiety I experienced with the Leaf) Harman Kardon, DC fast charge, Internet, Winter Pack, 19 inch alloys, Metallic Paint. As with Ross above, I also got a free upgrade to Pro Media.
Sorry, forgot I ordered 'internet too. Not entirely sure what that gives me but it was only £95.

On another note. Which home charging point is everyone going for?

I am currently favouring the Chargemaster option. It's only £95 for the 7KW version (free for 3KW) versus £300+ for the BMW one which seems to offer no advantages.

I think there are other options too but I haven't looked at them in depth (hoping someone else who will be along shortly has).

I can confirm that I do not think buying an i3 will save the planet.

Nor would I consider myself a 'greenie'.

Either that or persuade your workplace to have charging points fitted, they get incentives too ;-)
Does anyone have any details on this? I haven't been able to find anything.

Have you ordered one Skilly? Some PHers yesterday were being quoted June delivery for new orders!

Seems they've had nearly 10,000 orders now http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/11/20/us-autos...
