My lovely Zoe arrived, Blue coating on the badge flaking off & two largish dents in the door. Dealer has already agreed to pay to get it repaired.

Small things that can be sorted, they do rather take the shine off things though.

It wasn't like this when it left Evans Halshaw, the transportation company have accepted full liability to Evans Halshaw, but Evans Halshaw are reimbursing me direct & have been fantastic.

It is a shame that came through the pdi in that state

But they are minor blemishes and they should be sorted easily and quickly

Are you getting the work done locally on their bill or will you have to pay and claim it back?
Yep, Daniel has e-mailed to say to send them the invoice.

That is a bit open ended - will you go for a new door smile
Not if I can avoid it, PDR should do the trick.

Been scooting around tonight an I love the ease of this car. Perfect for nipping around the town. We even topped the car up at the charge point at the Mall, Cribbs Causeway, was as easy as I hoped. Plug in, swipe card, press start, walk away. Could Check on the Renault ZE Services app when the car was charged so I could move it & free up the bay.

SWMBO had a wobble when she realised it didn't have a gearbox, but after literally 200yards she said she was comfy and loved driving it.

Reference the dent on my Zoe, Daniel from Sheffield Renault is on the case getting somebody to come & sort, the dent lined up exactly with where your knee would rest when tightening the trailer ratchet straps, so certainly done post PDI.

smn159: Poverty White: Intens spec: 10k / year: New car for not much more per month than my 200k miles diesel- plus I fancied one
FastNReliable: Artic White: Intens: 10k/ year: I like the notion of an EV and this one costs less than my petrol bill
BigBen: Sort of a Grey colour iirc: 7.5k / year: seems like a good idea.
IN51GHT: Skinflint white: 10,000/year/ 3 year infill until I'm convinced Tesla have battery issues sorted.

Here is mine. I have been doing some more research and it turns out that grey ones are in fact fastest.

Things I want to be able to do next:

i) change the low speed pedestrian safety noise to that of KITT from Knight Rider
ii) enable the ZE app to talk to my smart watch

That's the colour I'd have gone for given a choice......

If white wasn't available!!! LOL

Oh dear, as a result of buying the Zoe, I'm doing the previously unthinkable thing....

I'm off to ASDA for some basic provisions as they have free EV charging right outside the door.

What has become of me???

Still, I'll be killing two birds with one stone.... charging the car & and afternoons entertainment watching the local chavs.

One thing that surprised me. The Zoe looks quite a small car, until I parked next to a VW Tiguan, there's only about 1' difference.

Having heard some people having issues with Chargemaster points and their Zoe I was prepared for disappointment when I pulled up outside ASDA in our local retail park. To my pleasant surprise the unit worked fine.

After a quick wizz round ASDA and an hour dress shopping for SWMBO, the ZE Services app showed we were fully charged. Brilliant, a free 200mikes worth of electrons.

Whole weekend scooting around, not had to pay a penny in charging costs, all of the car parks we parked in had free charging available.

I love this car.

3) Keyless go. If you lock the car using the fob buttons, you will have to unlock it using the fob bbuttons. If you lock the car by walking away, you can open it by pressing the black handle button. It seems very reliable. By the way you do not have to put the key in the slot - just keep it in your pocket.
I like this function a lot.
