I thought I would start a thread as its slightly more complex than normal.
You get two letters one for the battery and one for the car.
The battery letter does not have the correct option, it has Transfer to a 3rd party, renew the lease and PX or sell your car to a dealer.
I queries this with RCI to be told to write on the form that I am handing it back and that will be ok.
Now it gets slightly more complicated and may just be me - my battery lease ends 16/1 the car lease 16/2 - they are getting back to me on that one ............................

For others that took out the cheap 2 year deals on the Zoe back around xmas 2015...

Has anyone yet heard anything about their car being collected?

I filled in a form to let them know I wanted to give it back and the deal expires on Sunday 15 Jan but, so far, not a whisper from anyone

I just spoke to some useless person at Renault Finance who could see I had returned the form, but knew nothing else....
Ive been trying to get in touch with Mannheim all week ..... cant get the phone answered to even discuss it.

No Granny cable sadly but got an armrest!

Anyhoo we have made a decision on Mrs DS`s car were buying a Zoe if we can get a deal circa £180 a month they are approx £7k and on a pcp I expect the payments and deposit to be low and we will run it into the ground either keeping after the pcp or buying it out.

Ok so 2015 Zoe Dynamique 2500 miles after 2 years and 14.5k its worth £2500 (without the battery) and after 4 years and 26.5k its worth £1500 and it can be handed back with maybe its worth a bit more probably not.

To pcp it will cost (over 2 years) £6800 or £9700 over 4 years

1416 batt 2832
4370 car 5977
1000 dep 1000

It doesnt add up sadly

Had my inspection today. Completely forgot about the bloody service light being on as it's been in the garage for a while, so they want to charge me £170 for that plus £50 for a kerbed alloy...
Service was free as well frown

Ours is in for its service and needs a new battery - no mention has been made of cost so watch this space.

eek id argue that cost, a service is nowhere near that....
Cost of service plus cost of man to take it to garage for service and return it etc etc

It'll be interesting to find out if the service is actually carried out, it'll be free as well as a car of that age will have FOC servicing; just let the new owner deal with it.
Just waiting to see if my dead battery is covered under warranty ....... its with Renault Wirral now

Without asking them Renault have stopped taking payments for car and battery, inspection today unearthed a invisible crease on the back bumper, a scrape on a wheel bigger than allowed (others passed) and a scrape on a mirror that I t cut out whilst he was there and he took it off the form. Painless really now I just want it collected so we can cancel the insurance.

I was told that once the vehicle had been inspected by Manheim it was their property and insured by them, even whilst it was on my property awaiting collection.

I'd check with them if you still have it (today) and are wanting to cancel the insurance.
I did and you were told incorrectly I think - inspector and cust service team were quite surprised at the question and said its my responsibility until its signed away on collection

Mines being inspected 8th Feb. Slightly anxious in case my interpretation of fair wear and tear differs from theirs.
He was very fair and has size guides for scrapes etc however the Zoe has a weak point on the rear bumper that slightly deforms and ours had it (I couldnt see anything but could feel a small ridge) and he said the majority have this defect from any sort of even slight contact.

Interesting! Mine has a slight deformation in the rear bumper too. Did your inspector give any indication of what the charge might be for that?
£58 I think and £55 for a scraped wheel

My leaf is being inspected on Tuesday (I hope..). Should I have got a registration document when I got the car (v5?)? If so do they need to see it when they inspect the car? Can't find any registration document....

Thanks in advance.
