Curious as just came back from Holiday, drove from Orkney to Dorset (ok ferry was involved briefly) in one day, left North of Scotland 8AM, got home 11:30PM. Its one of those once a year journeys that historically have been the ballpark of a Diesel (we stopped once for fuel, 3x for bladders and food)

I realise this is entirely doable in an EV or Hybrid (possible a few more stops even in a Tesla) but has anyone actually done such a trip?

Non-stop (other than fueling) and fully loaded to the roof with heavy sports kit and 3x Company director build blokes on board. I realise some people may have "toured" but has anyone burnt through 800miles of electrickery in a single journey?

Can't say I've done it, but with adults only I'd give it a go... With kids, no way!
That would be insane- its bad enough with 3 tired adults!

(We went diving in Orkney, drove up Friday night after work, arrived in time for 6:30 ferry from Scrabter, drove back all day Saturday a week later)

Has anyone done a long high speed run in a ModelS at its Max weight allowance, I suspect the range is decreased noticeable when its dragging its arse up the motorway like a dog with a cling-on :-)
