I'm confident of good weather this year after a mixed bag last year and the past seven years (2007 excluded as it was a monsoon)

According to one website I found, it sounds promising....

Quote "June could once again prove a month of two halves, with the first half likely to continue on from the end of May rather settled with temperatures perhaps just above average as a ridge of high pressure moves in from the South. As the month progresses, however, a return to more unsettled conditions with cooler temperatures is expected, though rainfall overall through June may end up slightly below average"

So there we have it.

This is how I look at it but I have no idea what I'm talking about and there are no facts to back me up. But.....

Since 2007, March has been March. Some good days some bad. This year, it broke temperature records. In 2005 and 2006, the weather at LMS was epic. March '05 and '06 was Good. When March was bad or average, June was wet with below average temperature. This March was hot so June should be hot too and we have had a mild winter with sea currents warmer than usual.

I am basing this on Kent because La Sarthe mirrors the weather here. Every year I go, weather is the same there and here.

Update from the BBC

June is arriving; is summer arriving too?

Drier and brighter conditions look set for the start of June though there will be some cloud and rain around. Unfortunately temperatures look like they will be little disappointing hovering slightly below average for this time of year especially in the south where it could be described as distinctly cool. However, there is a chance things could warm up later in the month.

Well. we've just finished a four day rally just up the road at Mayenne and I have put my swimming pool back in the garage. Now why did I not take the other car? It's a heady 13C now we're back at Le Mans too.
we need a weekly weather report. Any volunteers ?

Hopefully hot and dry, until the race and then wet for at least 6 hours then the racing will be fun and more open.
That will confuse the organisers as this year there will not be their beloved Peugeot Team to help by running safety cars until such a point that they catch the Audis then withdraw the safety cars even though its still pi$$ing down with rain. Only joking, that didn't really happen ...........

It is 7C as I write, the sun is up, the dew heavy and while the forecast is better for the nights nearer the race, it might not be a bad thing to pack something warm.
What's the ground like ? I know the temperature isn't exactly June but are you getting lots of rain ?

But cats are total bds. If its anything like my cat, it has done this deliberately just to piss you off when you get to LMS expecting hot weather and its 2007 all over again. bd.

Yesterday everyone going to LMS in our group came round for the annual "put the tent up trial run" excuse. The weather forecast said cloudy with a little sun in the morning then rain at 16.00. Well, everyone was coming at 16.00 and guess what ? We had light showers on and off all morning, then a barbecue in glorious sunshine in the afternoon staying out til 9.30pm when it got a bit chilli.

Sun at LMS is possible........

The weather today, Tuesday, the first day when no-one is actually there in Le Mans is 21 degrees sunny, no cloud, no rain just glorious sunshine. I would have bet my house on it.
