Just to let others know that Portsmouth to Le Havre tomorrow night has screwed up the cabin bookings for those that have made such arrangements!
Apparently they have changed the boat to a smaller one with less cabins, so I will no longer be able to get my beauty-sleep before the mornings drive! S'OK for you young-uns, but the thought of trying to get some kip on those semi-reclining seats doesn't fill me with excitement, and that's even if I manage to get one in the ensuing bun-fight for seats!

When packing your car put the airbed on the top, not the bottom. When you get on the boat grab the airbed and take it with you. Once under-way and people have settled down find some floor, blow up the airbed and away you go.
Good thinking Batman! Mind you, the way my lungs are, I might have to organise an orderly queue of puffers!
