It's that time of year again to play login and password roulette!

Normally the experience has been largely pain free I've found.... But as happens here every year, a thread to vent frustrations at the ACO or rejoice at tickets purchased.

Ticket office still not open... They're late!

I'm still getting the ticket office closed message. Not even at the point of logging in.

Now fired up a lap top instead of apple and this gets me to a log in bit.

Tried the passwords I know, but no joy.

Are people putting in their email and the password which would get them onto their accounts in the autoclub site or are they using their D100 type number of their membership cards, along with some password?

Yep.. This is useless. I've always managed to sort tickets but I don't know why it is always such a complete pain with different log in, passwords etc.

When I do get through to the ticket office, I seem to get two recorded messages and then it cuts off.

I'm really fed up.

Spoken to someone again.

Big problems apparently... Oh really.

Couldn't book ticket over the phone, I need to send an email.

Also told its lunch so it seems everyone has downed tools at the ACO!

Spoken to them again.

There are major computer issues. Even if your details are correct logging in, it won't work.

Repeated to keep trying the phone line or just send an email.

This could be such a simple process but each year it is a drama.

It must have cost me a fortune today, speaking to people and getting no where, and on other occasions holding when I thought I was through to then be cut off.

Shambles.

I don't like to just moan about the ACO for the sake of it, but their organisation and capability in certain areas that should be be so simple, tried, tested and efficient are just utterly incompetent.

I have taken the day off, eventually, to keep tryng but have now given up so it really does look like Eurosport and Radio LM next year, thus saving myself about a grand - so not too bad.
I've been a supporter of the ACO, resisting the good old slagging they often get, but today that is shattered.

I took work off also. Dedicated all day just for getting tickets for next years race!

It has been a frantic attempt all day to get the tickets.

A proper complaint is going to be written.

I just hope I can still get the tickets I was after. I have given up for the day now.

Lucky you.. Still no joy here.

I am picturing a ticket office with 2-3 people sat around as many phones because I find it incredible that phoning the ticket office on so many occasions has got me no where.

This is really pissing me off now.

Just got through to the ticket office!! Tickets ordered!!

Limited number of tribune 18 left now.

It does sound like a small operation going on there.

Keep up the calls, persistence will pay off.

I'd keep up this route if the internet option isn't working. In answer to the last post, I've been a member for a few years and ordered tickets online, but still computer says noooo. So I don't think it's a new member issue.

Good to know there are at least some people there answering the calls....

Were you seeing the same pages that I was seeing online or were you seeing something different?
Yeah, I seriously think it is an office with 2-3 people taking calls. As hard as they work, there is only so many calls they can handle, hence just getting lucky. There's definitely no proper queuing system. If no lines free you just get an automated message and cut off to then call back.

No matter what I did online I just got password incorrect. I was told you just need your email and password. I don't know if you're led further to input membership number and names if you get past the first bit.

If you can't get in online, I would only sporadically check it and just persist with phoning the ticket office.

Usual chaos, same every year, why do they change the ticketing system each year and it never works. This year is the worse I can remember in the past 11 years. However I did manage to speak to a very helpful lady at the ACO just after they opened and managed to order the tickets I wanted. I paid for them in full using my credit card and she said I would receive an email confirmation. I know the money has been transferred yesterday at 9:45 but so far no email. Has anyone who did manage to speak to the ACO office and paid for tickets received an email confirmation? Unfortunately I did not get any reference numbers
I got a reference no. but I asked for it. The lady did say the email would take 2-3 days to come.

I got the stand I wanted, just not the seats I'd earmarked. But still got where I wanted generally.

I do hope next year is somewhat smoother.

Has anyone bothered having the tickets sent out? I thought why bother paying €20 odd euros more instead of the e-ticket. No old ticket to have floating around for several years in a draw now though!

Looking at the public site now, all the main pit straight stands are full or virtually full.

The ones towards the ends of the pit lane on either end are showing lots of available seats. Dunlop full, but the one next to it has loads of space.

I just wish I could have logged on at the very start of Tuesday to pick the seats in the ACO stand, but it's done now anyway.

Booked the ferry today.. Black Friday 20% off which was a bonus.
