After doing the 'Fartini' theme for last year which took several weekends to finish I thought I'd go for something simpler this year. (Also discovered 'Fartini' has a meaning that I didn't know - check urban dictionary but remember, what is read cannot be unread!)

Base car is...

So I was thinking of Gold Leaf Team Lotus with this as the logo.....

Any thoughts and anybody else making a start yet?

OK so one of my drivers has decided that moving house is more important than going to Le Mans so I'll now be taking the Freelander, need some suggestions on a theme

I know I started this thread, and I've posted that I'm taking the MX5 NA and then the Freelander.
Now it looks like I've got another driver to take the Freelander so I can take the MX5, just means I need to check my spelling for Ros Beouf or "Rosbif" (thanks 24Lemons), fortunately I have a friend who speaks French so I can check this out properly.
Also I've heard that www.stickers4.com are moving so we need to order any bespoke requirements before the end of March.

Less than 80 days to go before departure, looking forward to seeing you all there!

I've spoken to Stickers4 today and they are moving so they can only do off the shelf stuff and not bespoke

With all of the talk in the last few posts, I present the Jagfire! Needs a couple of bits to finish, but it's pretty much there. We will be at Spa, Le Mans and the Ring in it. Cost £460 to buy standard and is sprayed with plastidip camo and then the vinyls. And it's only done 150k miles.

Tom that is awesome

So after many hours pratting about with the vinyl....

I decided it was too much like hard work and didn't do the front bumper and just did a old stripe on the bonnet...

Oh well, there's always next year!

Sorry stickers are a bit basic this year but I've only just got the fuel pump sorted so it was touch and go if she was coming with us.

Mind you, friend owns a sign writing company and there is always Monday!

RS200 doesn't need stickers, the 10 foot flames out the exhaust are an acceptable substitute for stickers

The third and final car of our lot finished today. Stickering credit goes to Bex, only her second Le Mans and she doesn't drive but she bought and applied the stickers!! She's "One of Us" now :-)

Two things I have learnt today

1. It is more difficult applying vinyl in the wind
2. The more alcohol you drink the better your stickering ideas are but the worse your ability to apply the stickers becomes

Ours looks class from a distance. Up close, not so much!
The Americans call it a 50 yard car - looks good from 50 yards! (Mine is the same)

This was the first time I've stickered up my car. Seemed to go down well with people commenting favorably on it which was nice. This weekend I'll probably take them back off - problem is it would be very difficult for me to get a hair drier near my car due to parking area and having no plugs nearby. Has anyone used hot water to help remove them before? I don't want to damage my paint, would water straight from a kettle be too hot?
If it's warm weather (like today!) you should be fine, maybe park the car so that the stickers you want to remove are facing the sun and let them warm up a bit first.

I've stickered up for 9 years and the only issues I've had is some overspray stuck to the stickers as I removed them one year and this year I stupidly stickered the plastic grill on my Freelander and when I removed the stickers it took some of the paint with it.

HTH!

Nice to see someone else still stickered up (on his way home from Goodwood)
