I have just booked the ferry for Le Mans, and cant believe how much the prices have increased by. Same crossing as last year, same car, same passengers, booked at least a month earlier this year.

This years price £110, last years £44!

Thanks for the offer code, its too late but never mind!

I have just checked my ferry prices again, with that code I could get fixed crossings for £58, semi flexible for £98. Without it it was £84 fixed, £124 semi-flexible.

At the time of my booking they were offering semi-flexible for the same price as fixed crossing times. Not sure I'll believe that marketing blurb in the future!

Anyway its P and O Dover Calais, out early Wednesday back Sunday night

Somewhat delayed return to this thread. In reality it turned out that I had not actually booked the ferry for this year as the "confirmation" email I received was actually directly the opposite as had I read it I would have found there was a problem with my booking and it hadnt been processed!

So in the end I booked on Tuesday night for a Wednesday departure, whilst checking prices with options of P and O DFDS and Eurotunnel they all increased suddenly and at almost the same time. Had I been quicker I would have got a fixed price crossing for less than I thought I paid for a flexi. In the end I ended up on a fixed crossing ticket with P and O for £135, and it turned out it wasnt fixed as they put us on the earlier crossing on our return for no additional charge.
