There is trouble ahead for my favourite class as FIA has issued new proposed regulations:

4 Chassis manufacturers (with designs based on p1 designs)
1 Engine provider (could be VAG with their global race engine)
1 Tyre supplier

From 2017 and many people are not happy

Did you hear the interview with Hughes de Chaunac from Oreca saying "I can't imagine that we are not selected" and rightly so they have one of the best organisations in customer racing.

Graham's issue is mainly with the timing that they have to make a decision before the new cars have actually been really bedded in performance wise (bearing in mind that once the car has been homologated, there is no development for three years - only for obvious design flaws with regards reliability and safety - that was why for instance Strakka didn't race last year)

Something has to happen about the current situation. Last year there was a proposal about doing away with the 'silver' or 'bronze' requirement - but that was not popular.

John Hindhaugh from Radio Le Mans said when I suggested the following chassis: Oreca, Oak, Dallara and Riley... "Three out of four right"

Blatant protectionism of the French manufacturers.
Actually the chair of the endurance committee is British
