Fireworks at Le Mans

This may have been discussed before, but security has moved on through the years.
So,I`m pretty sure that you are not allowed to transport fireworks on the ferries or tunnel.Maybe with permission? Anyone know of anywhere to buy multishot, cakes,etc either close to the circuit or on the way down from Dieppe.These will obviously be set off properly,safely and in open space.

It was not for me that I asked the question. I had an enquiry from a "friend" that thought it might be nice to take a few and set them off on the Bugatti circuit not far from his site. I`m sure he will not now do so knowing all the concerns expressed on here. I have now advised that he might be better off spending his euros on a paddling pool instead. I havn`t told him that they are also on the "banned" list,like his homebrew in bottles and the sound system etc.

Might well be able to get some sleep this year what with all the scalextric cars running around. Perhaps the Viper might just keep the magic of Le Mans alive, albeit for just a few hours.

Oh, I love the rumble of the Corvettes, even the Ferraris screaming their way around.
Have been at LM during the times of the Panoz, so I know what the noise is all about. The T 400`s had there own sound too. Just hoping that the Viper adds a different note to the pre-dawn chorus.
