I rode down for the Moto GP last week so might do the same for 24hrs as it will be a last minute trip.

Has anyone riden down to the 24hrs and stayed for just the Saturday night? I usually camp but don't want a site for just one night and equally dont want to carry a tent etc on a bike but I have no idea on the parking situation. Is there a specific bike park or will I need to leave my bike in with the cars?

Any advice from people who've ridden down and not camped at the circuit, is more than welcome.

Thanks for the responce. The onwards trip to the Alps sounds fun.

The bike park info was the bit I was hoping to hear as is rather leave my bike with other bikes than in a car park.

I'll probably travel down Friday night, stay in hotel near Le Mans and rough it Saturday night, then ride home Sunday evening.

Any other biker advice is welcome.

Jason,
Thank you for such a kind offer, very much appreciated.
By the sounds of it, leaving a bike in car parks etc is not a rarity so I'll probably go that route, however once again a big thank you for such a kind gesture - a true gent.

Phil,
Do you intend to try and get into a grandstand at night or truly rough it under the stars?
I assume grandstands are still left un-manned after 10pm so anyone can get in, currently that's my plan if it's raining.

Cheers for the advice guys.

After many years of attending but with plenty of planning in advance, this year is a true 'freestyle' event. I have a ferry booked but that's it.

Just need to be sure I can park the bike somewhere safe and get a general admission ticket on the gate, other than that I'll take what comes...

I could be wrong - but I'm sure Carrefour sold parking ticket spaces in previous years..
I'm hoping I don't need to pre book any bike parking and the circuit has a secure place I can park and leave it locked safely??

For the moto GP they had all the hard standing car parks behind the main entrance, I'm not sure what they are used for during the 24hrs?
