Speed Chills BSJ Comrades
Discussion
For those who are staying at Speed Chills BSJ this year, I wondered if being a little coordinated in terms of campsite pitches would be of interest?
I am traveling down on the Thursday and partaking in Miner49er's convoy down to Le Mans accompanied by two others and the obligatory boot full of beer. This will be our first Le Mans but given the community spirit I've heard a lot about in the build up, I thought having adjoining pitches with people from PH would be a good laugh. It may well also reduce the doubling up of gazebo's/BBQ's/other essentials!
If you are up for it, let me know and I can get onto Speed Chills and see what they can do re: plot allocation.
Cheers,
Tom

Output, I'll make sure I hunt you down for that pint! I'm sure there will be ample opportunities to return the favour and bump into GrahamM3 in the process.
Tokyo, we are likely to arrive around the same time so I've no doubt there will be the confused "how the hell does this bloody tent fit together?" look on our faces and will be as easy to spot as you are with your sporty roof box!
Potatoes, I think you are correct - they pre-allocate ahead of arrival so I can't see why we can't ask to be situated together. Ill fire off an email to ask if they can accommodate. I'll consider you a yes to being allocated next to us then?! Have you gone for a standard c35 or c25 pitch?

So I had an email from Speed Chills explaining that they don't pre-allocate campsite plots however if people want to be together, arrive together and let the check in staff know and they'll sort you out.
As I'm in the convoy down, that's not going to require any more planning but for those not convoying down, I'd suggest meeting up with your group just outside then checking in together.
I'm so excited now, not long to go!

Potatoes and TDutchy...
With the event fast approaching I'm crossing off the various things we need to take down for the Le Mans trip. one of my compatriots has acquired a rather special beer cooler and I am now thinking, do I need a Gazebo?
I was thinking if we are arriving together and may set up shop next to each other, are you planning on bringing a Gazebo? I'm not really sure of the etiquette and how much time is actually spent next to the tents vs the main tent & track as its my first time, but a shelter of some sort between pitches would be a good place to hang out, drink beer and smoke a cigar should the occasion take us there!
Also, you two booked on the 6.20 now?

Just got a Facebook Message from one of the SpeedChills girls to say they'll be doing a st shirt competition. As an owner of many incredibly st shirts I'm confident of victory but if you'd like to win 2nd prize, or just make up the numbers, pack your sttest shirt for the competition
I'll have to have a look at what's in the wardrobe but I know for a fact my two co-pilots have some fairly special shirts...To all who camped at Speedchills this year, thank you for a fantastic weekend.
First Le Mans experience and it couldn't have been better. Everyone super friendly and up for a laugh, especially Denzels crew....what happens in Le Mans stays on Le Mans....
Timmy, Mario and Luigi will vouch for the amount of fun we all had, especially at the point of "if you call me Timmy one more time, I'm going to lamp you" and the response being "Timmy, Timmy, Timmy, Timmy, Timmy"
Hope everyone got back at a reasonable hour after the 6 hour delay we experienced.
Same again next year for me so I'll see you then! 360 days and counting!
