No not me, for the first time in many years I am missing LM due to work.

Just spoken to my mate and he was stopped at 120 south of Rouen in his DB9.

800 euro fine and banned from driving in France until his license physically returns to the UK. He was also breathalysed and before they let him go they also needed to see proof the second guy in the car was insured to drive.

I sent him a text yesterday morning warning him not to press the pedal too far, shame he didn't read it!

As we all know the roads in France are lovely and inviting and I though we learnt our lesson when I got stopped at 145mph in almost the same place (but I only got 90 euro fine!)

Any others been caught?

However may have been flashed by a camera in one of the 110 sections, although suspect it was flashing the car in front of me.
Nothing to worry about.

However come May 2017 that's when camera flashes and fines finally cross the border and you will be chased by the French police via the DVLA etc.

It's then only a short journey to points being Multi-European that's for sure yes

If I had a pound for every time I've heard someone say this I'd be retired by now. I'm sure I'm not the only one who gives the static cameras a cheery wave
Seems to be on the cards

All that legislation does is force member states to share information about vehicle registrations. So if you are snapped by a camera in France they will be able to get your UK address and send you the fine through the post. They will not be able to put points on your licence and should you decide to ignore the fine and throw it in the bin (not that I would advocate this) all they can do is pursue the debt through the UK civil courts - which I doubt they are going to do for thousands of 100 EUR fines.
You may well be right yes

Worryingly just in case they do I've been flashed at a few km/h above the limit (I mean 3 or 4) on several journeys through France and if the level of tolerance is that low and they have a determination to pursue it puts and end to enjoying the lovely French toll roads that for sure!
